Jugo De Mora
No matter where I go or what I do, music will always be a part of me. Since entering corporate America a little over a year ago, I made a promise to myself to keep my creative side alive. Whether it's through interviews or redecorating my room, it is my self fulfilling duty to continue to exercise the right side of my brain.
DJ'ing has always been one of those things that i've always thought of fully diving into but because I didn't have the resources/was afraid of failing, I pretty much came up with every excuse in the book to not pursue it or even see what can come out of it. I admit: sometimes, my own self puts an end to the possibility of greatness.
Now that I got over myself and I feel unstoppable, perhaps I'll take a stab at this. Spring/Summer have always been my favorite seasons (I blame Florida living) and I wanted to create a blend that reminded me of joy. Everything from the name (for those who don't know, mora is the Spanish name for blackberry), the artwork and the song selection is a summation of who I am and my surroundings. It's a blend inspired by my friends, my environment and experiences I've been through. It's the soundtrack to my summer and I can only hope that whoever listens, it does the same for you.
Stream the mix below and let a girl know how it makes you feel.
